Bit of a Bio
I am an 19th year teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in Teaching. I will continue furthering my formal education as often as time and money permit!
Besides completing my 18th year teaching at RMS last year, I have had other teaching experiences. While living in New Haven, CT, I taught 8th grade reading as a long term substitute in an inner-city school. I also lived in Seoul, S. Korea for fourteen months in order to teach English to Korean students. Both of these experiences have helped to give me the conviction in knowing that I have chosen what is right for me as a career.
Some of my passions and interests include: sports (especially SOCCER!), writing, reading, chess, animals, cultures, traveling, music, photography, hiking (and all other related outdoor activities), theater, movies and LIFE IN GENERAL.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Jennifer, and we have a beautiful toddler girl named Freyja. She is 2.5 years old as I type this, and fatherhood is my favorite experience I have ever had in life. With that said, I look forward to building on my wonderful experiences from last year, and I am excited for this new school year to start!
